FS501
General Description
FS501 is a high resolution analog-to-digital (ADC) chip. The core of the chip is an 18-bit resolution ΔΣ ADC. Besides the ΔΣ ADC, the FS501 consists of switching circuits, two operational amplifiers, two digital filters, crystal oscillation circuit, digital control logic, and microprocessor interface. Under 5V working voltage, this chip consumes 1.2mA power.
Feature
• | 18-bit high-resolution 5Hz output rate | • | 12-bit 325Hz output rate | • | Embed crystal oscillation circuit | • | Chip current is less than 1.2mA | • | Power saving mode current is less than 1.2uA | • | 4-bit parallel port interface, can be directly connected to microprocessor I/O ports | • | Four programmable ADC direct input channels | • | Package: 44-pin LQFP |
Application
The FS501 contains two op amps and several programmable ADC direct inputs. The input signals of the ADC and the reference voltages are fully differential. This mechanism can measure the fully differential small signals. Therefore, the application includes electronic scale and infrared ear thermometer.
